A few days ago, I opened my in box to this email from one of my Brides:
“Hey!!!
I was just praying for you 🙂 I have been thinking about the fire at your home and I know how hard it can be to see the positives in the bad.
Know the devil only attacks the strongest people and tries to knock them out. You are representing GOD in so many ways in your life/business and he doesnt like it!!! Know you are doing amazing things and GOD will turn the bad into great!!!! “
I have been blessed again and again to design for some amazing women since I started my business. The Ladies I have worked with during the past few months have been no less delightful and have also demonstrated incredible support, patience and compassion while we work through rebuilding (literally and figuratively!) our business. When all is said and done, I am certain I will remember the Brides from this season with an unending fondness and appreciation.

In September of 2019 I was the owner and lead designer of a successful wedding floral design and styling business in Minnesota, and quite content with things as they were. As life would have it, however, my husband's job moved us 350 miles away. Leaving children, grandchildren, our home and my business behind, we made the move and settled in by early February 2020, just as #Covid19 started trending everywhere.
As a way to manage the upheaval of the move and the isolation of the pandemic, I turned my creativity to painting, crafting and photography. Always an entrepreneur and not yet ready to retire, I decided to start another business, One Precious Pearl...the Next Chapter.
Combining mixed media art with bookbinding, I now design and sell journals of various types. They range from vintage, modern vintage or mid century, junk, art, writing, faith or commonplace journals. I also welcome and thoroughly enjoy commissioned pieces!
