Christina and Ethan’s classic elegant wedding was held at the Gale Mansion in Minneapolis. Christina had requested burgundy and mauve flowers, which we incorporated into the bouquets and arrangements. The venue, having been built in 1912 in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, was a perfect backdrop for the look and feel the couple wanted.

Their Elegant Ceremony and Reception

The wedding and reception were both held in the auditorium (added in 1962). To bring the room together but give it a cohesive feel, we chose a combination of three different height arrangements. In all of them, we used bi-colored gerrondo gerbera daisies in rose and mauve, mauve amnesia roses, champagne sweetheart roses, burgundy carnations and scabiosa.

The cocktail hour was on the first floor of the mansion, with the deliciously decorated cake located in front of one of the eight fireplaces. We repeated the same flower and color combination to further enhance the cake.

Christina’s Classic Bouquet

Christina’s bouquet was a gathering of  gerrondo gerbera daisies and scabiosis, the amnesia and champagne roses with the addition of maiden hair fern. This explosion of color went perfectly with her stunning “Aubrey Hepburn” styled gown. Because the bridesmaids’ dresses were burgundy, we chose a combination of lighter flowers for their bouquets.

We believe the flowers and colors worked together to provide the elegant classic style Christina and Ethan were dreaming of. Thanks much to Minneapolis wedding photographer Brian Bossany for the amazing shots!
