I’m Catherine of One Precious Pearl.
My journey with One Precious Pearl started in 2013 after retiring from 25 years in the financial services industry. I have always been a creator and coming back to design was like coming home for me.
One Precious Pearl was originally a wedding floral design and styling business I shared with my daughter. However, several life changes – a 400 mile move in the midst of Covid-19 and joint replacement surgery in two fingers on my dominant hand – signaled the end to a beautiful era.
Needing to find a way to fill the isolation of a move during a pandemic, I began art journaling and eventually making and binding my own books. Thus, another business was born.
I create unique one-of-a-kind books and journals for preserving memories, creating art or collecting thoughts.
One Precious Pearl is a faith-based company. Our name is inspired by Matthew 13:45-46:
“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who is a dealer in search of fine and precious pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
